1. Victor Valdes – Produced an excellent save in the first half to keep Verdu’s long range strike out. Was also very alert and reacted swiftly everytime he was called into action.    - 7

2. Daniel Alves – Ran up and down the right flank as always, but there was no end product from his crosses today. Had a shot on goal but blazed it into the stands and overall a decent performance by the Brazilian, seemed a little lost without Messi ahead of him. – 6

3. Gerard Pique – Most of his long aerial balls accross the field always reached Henry. Although he gave the ball away with a silly mistake that could have resulted in a goal. He did fairly well defensively, and had an attempt on goal but his header landed on top of the net. – 6

5. Carles Puyol - El Capitan was pretty strong in defense today. Made a last ditch tackle on a couple of ocassions. But it was a fairly quiet evening for the Captain as Espanyol relied on long range shots instead of penetrating the Barca defense. – 6

19. Maxwell – An absolute howler towards the end of the game, but besides that had an average night. Made a couple of runs forward and was tee’d up by Ibrahimvoc but sent his shot into the stands.     – 5.5

24. Yaya Toure – His physical presence was easily noticeable as he won almost all the headers in the middle of the park. Got back possesion on quite a few occasions and made a blistering run through the middle before being brought down. Always made himself available for Puyol and Pique when needed. A good strong performance.     – 7

6. Xavi Hernandez - As always, did well to keep possesion and kept the engine ticking. But could not slice the Espanyol defense in half with one of his trademark through balls. Overall a good showing by the midfield maestro. – 6.5

8. Andres Iniesta – Some nice touches, and runs as always. Suffered alot of fouls on the night but struggled to get past his marker. Will feel he could have done better.   – 6

17. Pedro Rodriguez – Had a golden opportunity to put Barca a goal up early on but he mistimed his volley. Made a few runs down the flanks but was removed for Keita at the hour mark.    – 6

14. Thierry Henry – An improvement from his last outing as he worked hard on the left and even went past his marker on a couple of occasions, but could have done better to put the ball past Kameni after IBrahimovic put him through on goal. - 6

9. Zlatan Ibrahimovic – Was by far Barca’s best player on the night. Full of tricks and flicks and showed some fantastic ball control. He was at his creative best tonight with some brilliant passes as he tee’d up Henry and Maxwell for some wonderful goalscoring opportunities. It was his aerial pass that let to the Xavi foul in the box, and he deservedly stepped up to put away the spot kick and score his 11th league goal.       – 8

15. Seydou Keita – Was brought on by Guardiola at the hour mark, when Barca kept giving the ball away through careless passing, and his presence helped keep possesion and gain control of the midfield.  – 6

11. Bojan Krkic - Was very eager to be on the pitch, but produced little while he was on it. – 6
